For the Salad:
- 1 lb flank steak
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 cucumber, julienned
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh mint, chopped
- 1/4 cup roasted peanuts, chopped
For the Dressing:
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1 tablespoon fish sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon chili flakes
Instructions
1. Prepare the Steak
- Preheat a grill or stovetop pan to medium-high heat.
- Rub the flank steak with olive oil, soy sauce, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
- Grill or sear for 4–5 minutes per side or until your desired doneness is achieved.
- Remove from heat and let the steak rest for 5 minutes. Slice thinly against the grain.
2. Make the Dressing
- In a large bowl, whisk together lime juice, fish sauce, honey, sesame oil, and chili flakes.
3. Assemble the Salad
- Toss the sliced vegetables (bell pepper, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, and red onion) with the dressing.
- Add the sliced beef, cilantro, and mint. Toss gently to combine.
- Garnish with chopped roasted peanuts.
4. Serve
- Serve immediately and enjoy the burst of vibrant flavors.
