- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 1/2 cups seasoned breadcrumbs

- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

- Prepare the Chicken:
- Pound chicken breasts to an even thickness using a meat mallet.
- Season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Bread the Chicken:
- Set up three shallow bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs mixed with grated Parmesan.
- Dredge each chicken breast in the flour, then dip in the eggs, and finally coat in the breadcrumb mixture.
- Pan-Fry the Chicken:
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Cook the breaded chicken for 3–4 minutes per side, until golden brown. Transfer to a plate lined with paper towels.
- Assemble the Dish:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
- Arrange the fried chicken breasts in the dish, spoon marinara sauce over each piece, and top with shredded mozzarella.
- Bake:
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15–20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the chicken is fully cooked (internal temperature reaches 165°F/74°C).
